After visiting the Symbian Booth at Mobile World Congress 2010, I got the notion that the foundation is in need of financial support, specially after it let loose its secret sauce i.e. going open source. Thus, what better way could be to have an official transparent donation page where anyone can help the foundation by contributing what ever sum he or she wishes. The collections made could be put to use by 1. organizing symbian community code camps or summit 2. helping charity organisations 3. funding different projects/events 4. and more...
Please share your thoughts on this. Thanks.

I am intrigued by your IDEA. I find it to be a fabulous IDEA. I am just curious about taxing and international business law.
In the USA, if we contribute to a non-profit, we get a tax write off. The organization provides their TAX IDENTIFICATION CODE and we submit....April 15 each year.
If this IDEA were to be implemented, it would be nice to know:
I am supporting this IDEA. I do not know if it would work for all countries, would like more information, but it is a nice IDEA
